In 1990 GEORGE Davis, once of NEXT, spotted a niche opportunity no one else could see: quality, good value clothing ranges in supermarkets. He bounced his idea off us and the rest - as they say - is history. From an initial five stores we're now a billion-pound plus business with over 320 ASDA stores selling the GEORGE label in the UK and 21 stand-alone high street and living stores. Our ranges are also sold in WAL-MART stores in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Korea, Brazil, Argentina and Japan.
Space in our UK stores ranges from 500 to 18,000 square feet. We have more than 500 colleagues working at GEORGE House in Lutterworth, easily accessible from major cities including Coventry and Leicester. There's a buzz in the air and we're really proud of the modern, creative environment in which we work.
