ASDA Olympics
Some companies select their graduates by throwing paper-based psychometric tests at them. Not us. We think the best way to get a feel for who you are is to get you involved in fun group activities to see how you approach them. That's what the ASDA Olympics is all about. And here's an example of how one of these day-long assessment events can look.
The day kicks off with an ice-breaker, where you have to introduce yourself to the rest of the group. You could then get involved in a game of giant Monopoly, for example, which will show us how you might approach a variety of different challenges. Or, you could be watching a video with different customer service scenarios, which you will discuss with your groups before presenting ideas. We will also use role play to find out how effectively you deal with other people.
Whatever activities you embark on, there are two pieces of advice worth remembering: be yourself and work as a team.
